Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Shoreline
A chopper soaring over a popular coastal beach abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Videos posted on the internet capture the chopper commencing to spiral near the shoreline then falling towards the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
